Meet the dentists
Born and raised in Rehoboth Beach. A Bachelor of Science at the University of Delaware, dental school at Maryland, and a commitment to serving the healthcare needs of the community he grew up in. When Dr. Curt retired, his letter to patients named Dr. Prestipino as the dentist to continue the tradition of excellence and personalized care.
Decades of public health dentistry, and advanced training in bone and gum surgery. All three are general dentists.
A general practice residency at WVU/Ruby Memorial Hospital, then the US Public Health Service on the Navajo Reservation in northern Arizona and eighteen years with native communities across Alaska, including time as a hospital Dental Director and AEGD Residency Director. Back on the east coast since 2012, serving southern Delaware.

Raised in Prince George’s County, Maryland. After dental school he practiced at Suburban Dental outside Washington, D.C., and completed a two-year mentorship in advanced osseous and gingival surgical techniques with periodontist Dr. Gregory Burdo. He and his wife Christy have made Rehoboth their new hometown.

Services for the whole family. Whether it is a dental emergency or time for a “smile upgrade”, the team handles every procedure from the routine to the complex.
Cleanings, exams and gum care for the whole family, and gentle extractions when a tooth genuinely cannot be saved.
Implants placed and restored here. Where the jawbone has thinned, a bone graft rebuilds it first.
Restorations from top U.S. dental labs, made to be right the first time and guaranteed: you just maintain them.
Veneers, take-home whitening and composite fillings, and clear aligners for adults who never wanted metal braces.
A small titanium post placed in the jawbone. It heals for three to six months while the bone fuses to it, then takes a crown, a bridge or a denture.
Synthetic or natural bone material rebuilds a thinned jaw. The gums settle in a week or two, and the graft fuses over three to six months.
Each set of aligners is worn 20 to 22 hours a day, with a check-in every six to eight weeks. Many patients finish in 12 to 18 months.
Thin porcelain or resin bonded to the front of the tooth. Not reversible, and replaced roughly every five to ten years.

We are an out-of-network provider. We file your claims electronically so the reimbursement comes to you, and fees are due at the time of service. Purely cosmetic work such as whitening and veneers is often not covered, while crowns and bridges often are. Ask your plan, or ask us to help you find out.
Anything causing you tooth pain or discomfort: a broken or lost tooth, a tooth partly knocked out, sudden severe swelling, a pimple-like sore on the gum, a lost crown or filling, something stuck between the teeth that brushing and floss will not shift, or an injury to the lips, gums or palate. Call as soon as you can.
Call us immediately. It is treated as a dental emergency and we will get you in quickly. It may be possible to reattach the crown; if it is damaged, you will have a temporary crown until a new permanent one comes back from the lab.
By their first birthday. It lets the dentist check how the mouth and teeth are developing, and lets your child get used to the chair and the people in it.
Not necessarily. Most healthy adults are candidates. If bone loss was the reason, a bone graft can rebuild the jaw first, and smokers or patients with conditions such as diabetes are assessed individually.
